The Beechworth cartoon shop is a working cartoon studio, which features an occasonal life sized inflatable Spiderman, a belly dancing shelf, flying pigs and the artwork of local artist Adrian “OZ” Osborne - You can see OZ’s artwork from the last 20 years and flip through his illustrated travel sketchbooks as you sit on the Chesterfield couch - the walls of the shop are lined with the “Hall of Fame” - hundreds of photos of those who have “been done” on the now famous Ned Kelly styled Wanted Posters at the shop - and you can even watch them being drawn from the artist-eye view live on a giant screen as OZ renders their caricature in just 2 minutes!
SPLAToons is also the home of CARTOONWINE, Osborne’s own label that puts cartoons and caricatures onto bottle of quality local wines , ports and beers - you can purchase them over the counter or online through the website at www.splatoons.com.
